"Briseis" aka "Momma B", "G'Ma B" or simply "B" is the Original Red Diamond and foundation bitch for Red Diamond Vizslas.  Named for Brisēís, a mythical queen in Asia Minor at the time of the Trojan War. Her character laid at the heart of a dispute between Achilles and Agamemnon that drove the plot of Homer's Iliad.   Our Briseis hails from an impressive pedigree that includes  14X BIS 2x National BISS Multi BISS Ch Russet Leather Warrior's Mark, JH "Bismark", the all-time top breeder/owner handled winning Vizsla, 7x BIS Multi BISS Ch Russest Leather Caveat Calla JH ROM along with many notable Vizslas. Briseis earned her Championship title at the tender age of 12 months.  Her movement is effortless with a beautiful wide-open side gait.  She is a versatile Vizsla, easily earning her Junior Hunter title at 9 months of age with straight passes. Briseis exhibits the sweet, affectionate temperment Vizslas are renowned for.  Briseis, together with her handler and co-owner, Erin Piercy, began her adventure as a Special at the age of 18 months and within the first 6 months their successes included numerous Best of Breed wins, multiple Group Placements, a Sporting Group win and..... an All-Breed Best in Show award!  But who would ever know that Briseis' biggest claim to fame would be that of Momma!  Briseis has passed on her "can do" attitude, spunky temperament and renowned movement to her children.  She is a proven producer earning a Registry of Merit award from the VCA.  Twice a Top Champion Producing Dam, Briseis' kids include 11 Champions, 5 Grand Champions, 2 Best in Specialty Show Winners, a Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show Winner, multiple Best of Breed and Group Placing winners and hunting title achievers.  At the 2014 Vizsla Club of America National Specialty show, Briseis' was the #2 placing Brood bitch....coming in second to her own daughter, Ziva.  Briseis loves all babies and even though she is retired from motherhood, she now loves being a grandmother. It goes with out saying, Briseis is my heart and soul, my best friend and the love of my life!
