ABOUT

In 2005, I brought home the most adorable, Vizsla girl puppy....and called her Briseis.  Never in my wildest dream did I imagine how much those 12 pounds would change my entire life.  The crazy breeder said I had to show Briseis if I wanted her.....really??  But I wanted her so bad and someone very close to me said, "You know, Michelle, I think you might like it."   Less than two years later, I had added a second vizsla, we had achieved two championships, a hunting title, multiple group placements, and an All Breed Best in Show...it was apparent my friend was right and "Red Diamond" from Briseis' registered name, became the inspiration for my kennel name.  Now, a decade since we started breeding as a hobby, "Red Diamond" is synonymous with quality Vizslas who are competitive in various AKC venues AND wonderful companions!

I am not only a member in good standing with the Vizsla Club of America, but I served on its Board of Directors for 4 years, I was the 2014 Overall Event Chair for the VCA National Specialty and Companion Events, and VCA Catalog Chair for 5 years.  Locally, I have served as the President of the Vizsla Club of Northern California and was on their Board of Directors for the VCNC for 10 years.  Additionally, I have served on the Board of Directors of the Vizsla Club of America Welfare Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial support to to benefit the purebred Vizsla in the areas of health research and rescue.  But in real life....I am the Controller/Vice President of a small General Contracting.

I am currently live with three wonderful Vizslas. Ziva, her daughter, Shea and Shea's daughter Khaleesi...in addition to the Red Diamond Matriarch, Briseis, who is now with us in spirit.  We quite frequently have red headed visitors at our home...we have Dylan Days, Riot Reunions, Jak Attacks and Dreamacations...who doesn't like the grand kids visiting???
